English 1001™ Book 1 — I’m Well, Humans!
196 pages • 12 units • Interactive beginner English e-book and workbook • Digital download
Say hello to a new classmate. Order your favorite drink at a café. Ask for directions in a new town. I’m Well, Humans! turns these everyday moments into English practice you can start right away. A little rice-ball chef and a cast of illustrated food charms guide you from your first greeting to conversations about your life, your plans, and the places you want to go.
What makes it interactive?
* Build your own sentences. Start with a guided example, swap in words from your own life, and say or write your new sentence. One pattern gives you several things you can actually say.
* Step into a role. Take turns as the customer and cashier, introduce yourself to a partner, or rehearse asking for directions before a trip. The role-plays give you a reason to speak and a chance to listen and respond.
* Make it personal. Use practice prompts to talk about your family, daily routine, food preferences, and plans. Then bring what you’ve learned together in review activities and projects.
* Practice with AI if you like. Ask your preferred AI tool to play a conversation partner, offer a hint when you get stuck, or give one correction after you answer. Try: “Play a café cashier. Ask me one question at a time. Wait for my reply, then give me one helpful correction.” You set the pace and do the speaking or writing yourself. AI is optional.
Why Linguist Lens® helps beginners
In “I eat rice,” I is the red subject, eat is the green verb, and rice is the yellow object. Colors and labels make each word’s job visible. Change one part at a time, as in “I eat noodles” or “We eat rice,” and you can use the same pattern to express something new. That’s the bridge from reading an example to saying something of your own.
Why you’ll reach for it again
* Save time. Ready-to-use lesson maps, guided examples, practice prompts, and quick reviews make it easy to open the book and get started.
* Rehearse an experience you care about. Practice for a trip, a first day at school, or an everyday conversation. Pick a scenario you’re excited to try.
* Build confidence you can feel. Notice when you can answer a question or build a sentence on your own. Revisit the same activity later and see what comes more easily.
